About this item
This turned and carved paper knife is made of bone and also features open work piercings. Made in four sections that screw together, the finial contains a Stanhope that shows five views of Brighton and the English Channel. It measures 234 mm (9.25 inches)in length and is 19 mm (.75 of an inch) at the widest part of the blade. The four pieces still fits together beautifully, but there are two short, very fine cracks to the top and a little bit of damage to the finial. c 1880.
