This watch can be used as a pocket watch or the back cover can open and the watch can stand on a desk
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Longines”
The movement is in 75% mint condition – the nickel is stained
Case – the movement comes in a .900 silver square shaped case which has a hinged round cover over the movement. This inner cover is signed “Longines, 4 Grand Prix, Paris-Paris, Milan, Bruxelles” and is also decorated with two rows of individually engraved medals in miniature
The square case has a snap on bezel and a hinged back. This allows the watch to stand upright on a desk or bedside table.
The back of the case is decorated with a highly detailed raised side profile of a dog. Surrounding this is a detailed collar with buckle
The case has engraved detailing on each corner front and back. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of gilt hands and is signed “Longines, Suisse” The dial is in 75% mint condition – numerous hairlines on the 10-11 and also fainter ones on the 5, 6 7-8
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 69mm long inc bow x 47mm wide x 13mm deep
The watch is stem wound / pin set
