About this item
This nicely turned lignum vitae box with a domed lid contains a wax seal impression featuring a coat of arms below an earl's coronet, and above the motto "Comme Je Fus". There is a split to the lid of the box and the seal is split in two, but held together by the backing paper. This piece would date from the first quarter of the nineteenth century.
