    This impressive large scale Unframed mixed media of oil & acrylic by South African artist Cyril Fradan (1928-1997)

    The subject is a figure of a man standing on a rocky coastline wearing a long abstract patterned cape.

    The work is painted mainly in shades of blue giving a misty mystical feel.

    South African artist & designer, who worked exclusively in acrylic paints, incorporating various Glazing techniques.

    Relocating to London n 1960s, Fradan exhibited successfully in British  & European art centres.

    As well as painting Fradan provided costume  designs in 1955 for Shakespeare Hamlet, 1966 Yeats Purgatory.

    He held annual summer music festivals at his home in Addison Gardens.
