About this item
A beautiful oriental style desk stand, possibly made in France in the 1920s/30s. It is made of cast brass and consists of an inkwell and pen tray. The inkwell has a hinged lid topped with an oriental head, and flanked by two dragons. There are more Chinese dragons to the pen tray. It stands on three little round feet. There are traces of silvering in places. The casting is very crisp and the piece has an attractively aged patina.
