This is an antique decorative bear figure. A German, carved fruitwood natural study in the Black Forest taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Enthusiastically carved and fascinating study of the large riverside predator. Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Ebonised fruitwood carved to a striking standard of detail. The hirsute bear proudly holds its catch within his mouth. Notice the quality fur detail and the scales of the fish.
Presented upon a Belgian marble plinth with protective baize to base
This is a distinguished antique decorative bear figure, with superb detail to the hand-carved body. Delivered waxed, polished and ready to enjoy.
