About this item
For sale is a fine quality antique burr walnut pedestal desk, the top having a green leather writing surface, decorated with gold tooling. The top is also banded with well figured burr walnut veneer surrounded by a gadrooned edge. Below this there are three drawers, each banded and inlaid. The top fits on to two pedestals, each with a further three graduated drawers, all complete with original ornate brass handles. The desk stands on carved cabriole legs and is veneered in fine burr walnut throughout, making it freestanding. This piece remains in very good condition.
