This is an antique silver table. An English, rosewood inlaid display or writing table, dating to the late Georgian period, circa 1780.
Delightfully presented silver display table from the time of George III
Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout
Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
Accentuated to each surface with inlaid boxwood and ebony stringing
Fascinating parapet corners add significant character to the top surface
To the centre, a striking inlaid scallop shell medallion in beautiful golden tones
Full width drawer with oak-lined box, dressed with a pair of circular pulls and lock escutcheon — key absent
Raised upon four gently tapering legs with diminutive brass bun feet
This is a superb antique silver display table, with copious decorative interest and exquisite Georgian craftsmanship. Versatile throughout the house, and of tasteful appeal. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
