A 19th Century 'Poudreuse' Desk with matching Chair, coming from France and specially made for a lady's dressing room or boudoir. The powder blue painted Desk with carved gold horizontal frieze, has a small Carrara marble top , attached mirror with carved & gilded frame, and shallow drawers on either side of the desk top..
The matching 'caned' Chair has carved acanthus decorations that match those on the legs of the desk.
The Desk measures 22 x15 inches x 29 high ( 56 x 38 x 74 cms). In good basic condition . .
