Carved with a starburst design in the centre and inscribed around the edge with the legend Love Is Our Guiding Star together with the names Anna and Bernard and the date 1954. Presumable the table was a wedding gift. The underside of the centre leaf is also inscribed 'Samuel Dyer Gough Nantclwyd House Ruthin. Age 82½ Years'. Raised on shaped ends with carved Gothic arch forming the feet and joined with a useful shelf with through tenons.
