    About this item

An attractive set of four Indian rosewood chairs with balloon type backs with carved and shaped top and centre rails with Anthemion motifs. The underside to the seat rails have unusual and decorative carved frieze which is reminiscent of a colonial design. Which we consider these chairs to be of "Anglo Indian".

The seat rails have been expertly re-railed in beech. In a very good condition with no breaks. Although they are newly upholstered we can re-cover in customers own fabric if desired at £30 each.

Condition : Very Good, no breaks or loose joints, no repairs
    Materials : Rosewood
    Origin : Indian, Asian
    Manufacture Date : 1850
