An elegant fine quality set of four early 19th century (circa 1815) Regency rosewood chairs of excellent patina, possibly Scottish - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This set of chairs consist of a shaped top rail with carved scroll design with inlaid brass crown and foliate decoration to the centre with carved anthemion design to either side.
This leads down to a finely carved and pierced foliate back splat with carved paterae and shaped uprights to either side with an upholstered seat finished in a neutral fabric in very good condition.
This leads down to front and side seat rails with applied turned mouldings supported on turned and tapering spiral legs to the front and outswept legs to the back.
This set of chairs are in very good condition for age with evidence of some old repairs, are all of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
