About this item
Set of six late Georgian elm cottage dining chairs c.1800. The design is a simple country vernacular interpretation of a Hepplewhite chair, with a nicely arched top rail and pierced back splat. Over board seats (height 18") on tapering square legs joined with stretchers to all four sides, the front ones set back for comfort. Lovely colour and lovely grain to the timber. Excellent condition with some repairs to the tips of the legs, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
