This is a set of 6 antique Hepplewhite revival chairs. An English, mahogany dining suite, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Dashing Hepplewhite revival taste across six chairs. Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order. Select stocks show deep russet hues throughout. Benefiting from a recent professional reupholstering with quality, tasteful fabric.
Classically appealing lyre back set within the iconic Hepplewhite shield. Carved decoration with foliate medallion to centre and wheat sheaf accentuating the top rail. Offering a comfortable seat height of 47.5cm (18.75") with a generous width to the seat. Superb diamond pattern velour seat cushions a paragon of sympathetic taste
The pair of carvers graced with wide, serpentine arms with graceful, fluted supports. Raised upon attractive, tapering front legs with spade feet. Gently splayed, square section rear legs. Each leg united by stretchers for extra support.
