About this item
An antique late 19th century pine scrub top kitchen dining table.
Well constructed in pine, the top has developed a nice smooth finish and colour after a long life of being used to prepare food and dining.
With charming knife marks to the pine top, which along with the warm colour and knots in the timber, create a great deal of character.
Raised on good substantial square chamfered supports, and found in the original brown painted finish. The painted surface has worn back nicely through use over the table’s lifetime, producing an attractive patina.
The table is well proportioned and an ideal size for any kitchen, giving flexibility to use within a large prep space or a small cottage.
Combined with a bench or two, or chairs, this would also make for a great dining table.
