About this item
A lovely early example of an 18th century or earlier Spanish walnut table , with shaped end supports & wrought iron stays underneath. A wonderful colour to the top & a carved coat of arms illustrating the arms of the kingdoms of both Leon , the lion rampant & Castile, the castle & dated 1575 with the initials RJF.
The coat of arms was first granted to Christopher Columbus in 1493 the year after he discovered America .
