Outstanding quality antique burr yew wood and mahogany display cabinet having a quality arched shaped moulded cornice above a single mahogany astral moulded and carved glazed door opening to reveal three adjustable glass display shelves with glazed sides. The base having a moulded edge above three quality burr yew wood cockbeeded and oak lined drawers with original ornate brass swan neck handles raised on original bracket feet and shaped apron
Beautifully crafted by Gill & Reigate who were founded in 1898 and traded at 85 Oxford Street, London. They were decorators to King George V and during the period 1915-1920 the firm were engaged on the restoration and furnishing of Sulgrave Manor, under the direction of the architect Sir Reginald Blomfield.
