This original mid-19th century drawing by German artist Alb. Muller is a finely executed academic study of a standing male nude, rendered in pencil and charcoal on paper. Signed “A. Muller” in the lower right section, the work reflects the disciplined approach of nineteenth-century European art academies, where mastery of anatomy and light was central to artistic training.
The male figure is portrayed with a contemplative expression, his pose natural and unidealised, demonstrating Muller’s skill in capturing the subtleties of human form and gesture. The artist’s controlled shading and sensitive linework give the study a remarkable sense of depth and realism.

This impressive drawing is ideal for collectors of academic figure studies, 19th-century German art, and classical life drawings.
