    About this item

A charming pen, ink & gouache portrait of Sandy & Jock, a West Highland Terrier and a Scottish Terrier. This original art work is by K C Brown, a prolific British artist best known for characterful and very appealing portraits of pet dogs. She was active between about the 1930s and 1970s. This portrait is dated 1933. It is on card and shows the dogs looking alert and probably ready to be taken out for a good walk. The artist's signature is to the lower right hand side.

The portrait is behind glass in an oval wooden frame that appears to be contemporary with the drawing. The back bears an art dealer's label.

This portrait is ready to hang.
