    Scottish Vernacular Kitchen Dresser
    Vernacular pine kitchen dresser of typical form, the lower section painted in blue paint which is scuffed and marked through use. The drawers with hand painted tables. The upper section is painted white and the work surface finished in melamine.
    Scottish, circa 1880

    (96cm H to work surface)

    Condition: All the drawers run smoothly and are all lined, the right drawer divided for cutlery. All 3 cupboards doors open on original hinges and close with later magnetic catches.  A very sound piece of Scottish vernacular furniture ready to be used.  The paint is not original but you can see signs of the original paint in places where it is rubbed.
