This is an antique Mr. Punch doorstop. An English, cast iron figurative door keeper, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.
Originating in the commedia dell'arte of 16th century Italy, Punchinello came to be known as Mr. Punch, his first recorded appearance occurring in May 1662.
