Antique Dutch Delft Pottery

Dutch Delft is tin glazed earthenware made in Delft and other Dutch centres from the early seventeenth century, developed in response to imported Chinese blue and white porcelain. Antiques Boutique brings together Delft chargers and dishes, vases and tulipieres, tiles and tile pictures, jars and figures, in the familiar blue and white palette as well as polychrome and rarer black glazed wares.

Chipping to the glaze along rims is normal on early Delft and is generally accepted rather than treated as damage. Factory marks appear on better pieces from the late seventeenth century onwards.
