Polychrome Delft Plate Decorated with an Urn of Flowers

An eighteenth century, polychrome, Dutch Delft plate. This is quite lightly potted and it dates from c.1760. It is decorated, in shades of blue, green, iron red, manganese and ochre, with an urn full of flowers. To the rim is a border of plants and weirdly stylised insects. It is in very good condition with just the usual wear to the glaze, on the rim, which one would expect on a piece of 18th century Delft.

Dimensions: Diameter: 23.3cm. Depth 2.5cm.
