A beautifully engraved mid 18thc "bonnet" glass with an engraved flowing swag of "Lily of the Valley".....fluting to the lower part of the bowl and the central knop....with a rough pontil to the underneath....these beautiful small glasses were also used by ladies for strawberry gin....they would fill the glass with gin and then dip a strawberry in the gin and eat it and after doing this three or four times the gin would take on the flavour of strawberries and there you had the perfect accompliment...in very good condition.
