Cornish School. This is an etching titled in pencil to lower margin as St Michael's Mount and signed in pencil to the lower margin with RA, FRSA after his name. As this etching bears his FRSA letters, it can be dated as post 1958 as that was the year he gained fellowship. Small fishing boats are pulled up on the shoreline in the foreground with a figure loading fishing pots.
The image looks as though the artist was positioned down on the beach somewhere below Turnpike Road in Marazion. Image within etching plate impression marks 25 x 39.5 cm, glazed frame 33 x 48 cm. The paper has visible wood based composition (small flecks within the paper) and overall has a toned appearance. There is some undulation. Hand colouring is in blues and greens.
There is glass reflection in the photos - apologies
