Henry IVth of France, often referred to as the 'good King', was born in 1553 and died in 1610, he became King of Navarre in 1572 after the death of his mother.

The Barbedienne foundry was set up in 1838 by Ferdinand Barbedienne and Achille Collas, Collas invented a machine to create smaller bronze figures from statues of   Greek & Roman origin in particular.
