    About this item

An amazingly detailed scale silver model of the clipper ship "Thermopylea". The ship was built in Aberdeen in 1868 by Alexander Hood, it was the fastest commercial sailing ship ever built. It famously beat the Cutty Sark from Melbourne to London by 7 days. This model was made by Richard Sokolowsky in Aberdeen, it was hallmarked in Edinburgh. It is an absolutely stunning piece of craftmanship.
