    About this item

This is an ancient Roman or Greek bronze figurine of a Thracian horseman, and he is depicted with fine detail riding into battle, his hair swept back and with a loose hanging cloak over his shoulder. This figurine would have once graced the top of a horse, with detailed hands holding reigns or a spear. This is a nice example in good excavated condition with a fine dark brown patina. This figure would have been set in a temple or used for private worship.
