Rare Early 20th Century Hand Carved Fairground Dragon Ride Fragment

A highly decorative and delightful object of an early 20th Century fairground dragon ride fragment panel. Would likely have been accompanied by numerous other figures of a similar nature and illuminated to decorate an old fairground ride. This figure is made from section pieces of hand carved pine wood and hand painted with layers of old paint underneath as shown. With one red glass eye still in place, its likely a light bulb would have been placed behind the dugout wood behind. The dragon is carved to what resembles a tree branch which is firmly in place, this would have made up the rest of the ride's décor. This figure is mounted to a bespoke metal display but can be removed if you wish to display it on the wall.
