Rosenthal Pierrot lute player figurine - Kärner - 1930
Rare Art Deco period Rosenthal porcelain pierrot clown figurine playing a lute type instrument. Hand painted, it was designed by Theodore Kärner.
It has the design number no 303 impressed on the base
A similar figure with a later model number is known as “Serenade"
Size: Approximately: 10 ½ “ (27 cm) high, the base measures 5 ½ “ (13 ½ cm across by 4 ½ “ (11 cm) from back to front
Date: 1930 - dated by the backstamp
Condition: In good condition, there’s a tiny line of wear to the paint on the front of the hat and some wear to the gold decoration .
