    Large terracotta figure entitled Heureaux Captifs (The Happy Captives) by Richard c.1900. Beautifully modelled as a young woman in draped cloth sat on a rock outcrop and holding a small bird in each hand (the captives of the title). Signed Richard in the clay. With a brass plaque on the front of the plinth and studio stamp for Decor Berand on the rear. Painted pale grey green. Presented as found, with some wear to the paintwork, otherwise very good condition.
