This is an antique Arts and Crafts fireside bin. An English, copper and wrought iron decorative coal or log keeper, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
Wonderfully distinctive bin, to add elegance to any fireplace Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order Quality copper presents warm amber hues throughout Wrought iron bracing and legs add a contrasting darker element Fascinating spiral comb handle accentuates the domed lid Opens to reveal a secondary removable liner, with a pair of carry handles Charming scrolled detail adds interest to the upper iron bracing Standing upon a quartet of distinctive scrolled legs
