This is an antique fire screen. A French, bronzed wrought iron fireside shield with Art Nouveau taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Classic Continental heraldic overtones with wonderful hand-beaten finish
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Bronzed wrought iron shows appealing tonality to the weathered appearance
Hand-beaten relief with a knight's helmet and shield decor
Prominent fleur-de-lys stand above the whole
Raised upon striking Art Nouveau legs with small pad feet
