This is an antique fireside log bin. An English, brass coal bucket with lid, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Domed circular lid adorned with a finial handle
Decorative pattern bands accentuate the circumference
Unusual horn-shaped brass handles to either side over shaped back plates
