This is a very tall antique glazed cupboard. An English, pine sideboard dresser or larder cabinet, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
Of townhouse or country estate proportion at 8' 03" tall
Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
Select pine shows superb grain interest
Light biscuit hues presented with a natural waxed finish
Arranged in two sections, with glazed upper and dresser base
Each door with quality original glass in good order
Twist latches in brass aid access to the two shelf interior
Base arranged as a pair of drawers over two cabinets
Each drawer dressed with brass drop handles on bat wing backplates
Further brass latches upon cabinet fascia with small inset lock to right door — key absent
Single, full-width shelf within, ideal for dinner service or collectibles
The whole stands upon a narrow, continuous plinth base
This is an impressively tall antique glazed cupboard, with Victorian townhouse proportions for the large room. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed and ready for the home.
