About this item
Fabulous 1970s re-release French Grande film poster for the Bond that started it all Dr. No.
Produced on a relatively modest budget and with a then little-known star, Dr. No was the first in producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman’s long-running James Bond franchise, adapted from Ian Fleming’s sixth Bond novel. Here agent 007 battles against an eccentric scientist super-villain, Dr No, who is determined to ruin the US space programme. Regardless of the modest budget, director Terence Young’s film conveys many of the hallmarks of the later more lavish productions, namely stylish design, exotic locations and climactic set pieces. Combined with, arguably the most distinctive Bond ever in Sean Connery, Dr. No remains a bonafide classic.
This original vintage movie poster has been professionally linen-backed is sized an impressive 47 1/2 x 62 1/2 inches (plus a little more with the linen). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
