    About this item

A pair of miniature silhouette portraits dating to the early 19th century. They are painted on paper with gold coloured mounts, and are framed behind glass in matching carved ivory frames, which are contemporary with the portraits. The back of each bears a label for Miller of Park Street in Bristol, a fashionable area at the time these portraits were made. The frames stand with the support of little fold-out props.

The portrait of the woman has lost its screw in hanger.
