About this item
Important vase for museum display from the full Art Nouveau period. A large handled vase made of Bohemian glass with metal mount decoration in relief and chiselled in Art Nouveau style. The glass has a very particular 'Papillon' decoration; green underlaid clear glass with silver-yellow inclusions and iridescence. This important vase is the result of the collaboration between Moritz Hacker (Budapest 1849-1932), a jeweler to the royal court, and produced by Johann Loetz Witwe was an important art glass manufacturer in Klostermühle, Bohemia, Austria-Hungary. Johann Loetz's works are among the most outstanding examples of Art Nouveau. The vase has the mark of Moritz Hacker under the base. The vase proposed by us is of a unique refinement in artistic execution and perfectly blends all the stylistic canons of Art Nouveau. A collector's vase for refined researchers of unique works of art.
