    A superb quality armorial Chinese lacquer games box made around 1810 for DIXON. Full coat of arms to the lid and interior boxes plus 130 super mother-of-pearl gaming counters with the matching full coat of arms. This box is slightly unusual in having a special fitted interior box with wells to hold all the counters - more normally the counters are contained in the interior lidded boxes.  There is also a full set of lacquered trays for the game of Pope Joan.
