A rare chance to acquire the full set of these amazing (and mysterious) counters! Large size, super m-o-p. But who were they made for? Who was Catharine? Sadly I cannot say as there is no way to tell from the details. They appear to be armorial but there is no accredited record of them. Please note: one 'square' counter has a large chip to the corner as shown clearly in the photos: but this is the only full set of all 18 counters available. What is clear is that they were a very special and expensive order from Canton circa 1810: in fact a unique set from my experience. Beautiful counters - as long as you can live with one damaged counter.
