Clifton College, founded 1862 by Dr.John Pecival. Coat of Arms; Argent, a chevron between two trefoils slipped in chief and a garb in base azure; achief gules thereon a ducal coronet Or between two books argent, clasped and garnished gold.
Famous alumni of the college include Trevor Howard, Sir Michael Redgrave, Simon Russell-Beale and General Douglas Haig.
