This is a vintage decorative umbrella stand. A Continental, enamelled steel hall rack or dried flower vase, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.
Splendid mid-century forms and colour present a cheerful appeal
Displays a desirable aged patina, small paint losses commensurate with age
Rolled steel stand with wonderful space-race orb motif
Bright red enamel paint pops against the white, black and red cylinders
Three distinctive sleeves ideal for umbrellas, canes or dried flower arrangements
Each cylindrical sleeve narrowing from 10cm in diameter to 3cm at the end (4" to 1.25")
Charming custard yellow drip tray set within the base slides out for drying
Stands upon a trio of slender legs with wonderful silver ball toes
