About this item
A well-executed, reproduction Charles Rennie Mackintosh table. Sympathetically restored, to bring it to life once again, the table features decorative, cut-out designs on each leg with painted glass inserts.
Mackintosh was commissioned, in 1903, to design Miss Cranston’s new tearooms on Sauchiehall Street. She allowed Mackintosh his artistic freedom to create the design elements in every room. This table is just one of the many designs featured in the rooms.
Mackintosh was an architect, designer and artist. He was extremely influential on the European Secessionist and Art Nouveau movements.
The price is for one table but two are available.
