This charming Victorian hip flask which is made of solid silver and glass is fully hallmarked for 1889 and has a detachable silver cup and hinged flip / bayonet top.
This tactile Victorian flask that feels heavy in the hand and has a handsome family crest engraving to the front of the detachable cup.
A very nice and usable antique item that is 133 years old and has a wonderful petite charm so would make a great gift.
Condition report:
Very good usable antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches and tarnish. A small flaw to the glass under the cup edge. The lid has been fitted with a new cork and closes tightly with no leaks. No splits, holes or breaks. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays firmly in place. A very clean and tidy flask. Please see pictures.
