    Triptych Overmantle Mirror
    This is an unusual form of overmantel the columns mounted forward of the mirror front creating a more architectural piece.  Four fluted column decorated with gilt swags of acanthus leaves mounted with lion masks under a dogtooth frieze, the three mirror plates all with bevelled edges, stands on a plinth base.  This mirror is designed to sit on top of a mantlepiece, it has mounting plates to the back to hold it to the wall.
    Italian, circa 1900.
