This is an antique jardinière stand. A Japanese, bronze planter stand or side table, dating to the Edo period, circa 1850.

Wonderfully ornate jardinière stand with strong antique Japanese taste. Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order. Strikingly tapered bronze presents pleasingly weathered tones. Decorated with finely detailed dragon and crane relief. Encircling the lower half, the long, sinuous dragon enhanced with detailed scales. Generously sized top finished with a chased vine motif of scrolled forms
