    About this item

A pretty Georgian silver pedestal cream jug with raised scroll handle, shaped rim and later embossed decoration of flowering vine reserving a vacant cartouche framed with scrolls and arabesques. Hallmarked for London and with the lion passant, the maker initials have been overstruck with the date letter which appears I think to be the S for 1773 but it is distorted. The maker's mark can be read as "T.?".

    It measures 10.3cm (4 1/8") high and 8.5cm (3 3/8") spout to handle, 5.7cm (2 1/4") wide. It weighs 74g / 2.4ozt.

In very good condition with no damage or repair.
