About this item
A small, 19th century, slip stone. This useful little item was used for sharpening knives. The sharpening stone is set into a mahogany surround and handle and it dates from c.1860. There is a piece of the wood missing from around the stone but this is inevitable as this was a real utility piece.
Dimensions: Length 15.8cm Width 3cm. Height 3.8cm.
