About this item
I know I keep repeating myself...but here is another first for me....this is a rare 18thc sheet brass sugar /spice sifter, usually they are made of cast brass, so this is quite a find and also the seams are clearly seen on the body and the top where it has been joined....so nice to see...and as if that is not enough, it came from the late great Andrew Crawforth, who I had the pleasure to know and call a friend and who had a brilliant vast knowledge on many subjects and of course a wonderful collection....in very good condition.
English C1760-80.
