About this item
A superb example of a Victorian silver table snuff box. Made in London by the excellent box maker Edward Edwards II in 1844. It is engine turned on all the panels, as crisp as the day it was made. Inside it has full gilding and a good set of very legible hallmarks. The 9 part hinge is tight and the lid fits really well. There is a dragon crest on top and a thump piece made of cast swags and bows. A very collectable piece of Victorian silver.
